Conemaugh Physician Group – Family Health Care, located in Meyersdale, welcomes family medicine physician, Alexander Kalenak, MD to the practice. Dr. Kalenak will also cover the Emergency Department at Conemaugh Meyersdale Medical Center.
Kalenak is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and earned his medical degree at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. He is returning to Western Pennsylvania from Iowa, where he recently practiced family medicine at Boone County Hospital.
Dr. Kalenak is pleased to be practicing family medicine in Somerset County, and welcomes new patients, adult and pediatric, for wellness visits, sports medicine, and chronic disease management. Approachability and empathy are values Dr. Kalenak cites as the core of his practice. “I want to take care of my patients throughout their life and be a part of their support team,” says Dr. Kalenak, about choosing to practice family medicine. “I can relate to my patients struggles when it comes to making healthy choices and decisions about health. I’m here to help.”
