The coveted Thanksgiving Day race is ramping up with the  Ya Jagoff! Podcast to bring yinzers of all ages and abilities this year’s YMCA Turkey Trot, thanks to the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh and P3R.

P3R is the engine behind Pittsburgh’s favorite races and runs, which include the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon, EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler, Fleet Feet Liberty Mile, the GAP Relay presented by UPMC Health Plan and  of course, The YMCA Turkey Trot. The Thanksgiving Day morning run has become a Pittsburgh tradition for all ages to benefit from the YMCA food pantry programs and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Now, co-hosts of the Ya Jagoff! Podcast, Rachael Rennebeck and John Chamberlin, hope to add some yinzer to the YMCA Turkey Trot.

Gobble the excitement at the starting lines on Thanksgiving Day and expect some additions like a 45-minute pre-recorded audio track of local music, plus interesting interviews with YMCA Turkey Trot sponsors, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank representatives, AND even some registered participants on the playlist.  Expect exclusive interviews and special announcements through the Ya Jagoff! Podcast leading up to the race and stay tuned as the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh announces a special location to host one of the weekly Ya Jagoff Podcast episodes. In fact, the jagoffs will provide a tour for guests including a local music component on the episode. Did we mention that there will be a video of John and Rachael making the ultimate yinzer turkey with a local chef?

Get registered, and we’ll see you on the start lines, ya jagoff! (Used as a term of endearment of course!)
