The Board of Directors of Jefferson Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that John J. Dempster, a current member of the board of directors, has accepted the role of Chief Executive Officer of Jefferson Regional.
This change is effective March 1, 2011. Thomas P. Timcho will continue to serve as President of the Medical Center until his retirement on May 31, 2011, at which time Dempster will take on the roles of both President and CEO.
During this three-month period, Timcho will work closely with Dempster and the management team to ensure a smooth transition.
“The Board of Directors recognizes that the management team at Jefferson Regional is extremely effective,” said Charles Modispacher, Chairman of the Jefferson Regional Board. “We were very fortunate to be able to choose an internal candidate. John Dempster has played a critical role in the growth and development of the Medical Center since 1976. The Board is very happy that he has accepted this position and looks forward to a continued successful relationship.”
