Schenley Shuffle 5k Run\1-Mile Walk and Brunch to Benefit Open Your Heart to a Senior

The Schenley Shuffle 5k Run/1-mile Walk and Brunch will be 8:00 a.m., September 21, at Bartlett Grove in Schenley Park, Oakland. This timed race benefits Open Your Heart to a Senior, a volunteer organization that helps seniors in Allegheny County remain safe in their homes by providing friendly visits, safety checks, rides to appointments, and more. Registration for the run and brunch is $20, for the 1-mile walk and brunch is $15, or free for OYHS volunteers. Register by September 20 at

After the race, enjoy brunch and activities including yoga, a photo both, raffle baskets and lawn games. Open Your Heart to a Senior volunteers will be recognized during brunch and some seniors will be there to cheer on the runners. Open to all ages! Open Your Heart to a Senior is sponsored by United Way and is a partnership between North Hills Community Outreach, Family Services of Western PA, Agewell Pittsburgh , Jewish Federation and Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers.
