Providence Point will celebrate the completion of its Phase II with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 15, 2020, at 1 p.m. The ribbon-cutting pays tribute to the Phase II project that included the chapel, expanded dining venues, the new activity, and meeting spaces as well as the new construction of Providence Point administrative offices. The crux of the project, though, is the new residential building, Hamilton Tower.
Located on the edge of Scott Township at 500 Providence Point Boulevard, the 62+ Life Plan Community sets the standard for quality retirement living in our region. Providence Point now offers 291 one- and two-bedroom residential living apartments, ranging in size from 761 to 2,100+ square feet, and includes a neighborhood of 35 single-family patio homes.
Pittsburgh’s premier senior living community, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this fall, sits on top of a historic site once known as “Bower Hill.” It was the mansion estate of General John Neville, Inspector of Tax Revenue for President George Washington, and became the site of a key battle in the Whiskey Rebellion (1791-1794).
With so much to celebrate, the ribbon cutting will begin with acknowledgements of the many partners, staff, board members and others who made the project successful, followed by light refreshments and tours of the new Providence Point community. Expect detailed views of a model Hamilton apartment and guest room, the expanded Light Horse Lounge and Neville Dining Room, Providence Chapel, with historic stained glass windows, and new activity space, the Gallatin Room.
