Mount Nittany Health recently added Rachel Zimmerman, DO, to Mount Nittany Physician Group Pediatrics.
Originally from Mifflintown, Dr. Zimmerman earned her bachelor’s degree in life sciences from The Pennsylvania State University and her medical degree from the Lake Erie School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at the K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey.
Dr. Zimmerman says that she’s thrilled to be back in the area. “I’m so excited to be a part of this wonderful team of providers,” she says. “I look forward to giving back to a community that gave me so much.”
Outside of the office, Dr. Zimmerman enjoys spending time with her close-knit family — including her parents, twin brother, sister and brother-in-law, and nephew, Jack. She is an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan and hopes to spend more time on her golf game this summer.
