Penn Highlands Mon Valley June Innovations in Medicine Programming

Innovations in Medicine, the community programming that Penn Highlands Mon Valley offers to residents of the region, continues in June. 

Waqar Shah, MD, a double board-certified interventional radiologist with Penn Highlands Mon Valley, will be the presenter on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Center on the campus of Penn Highlands Mon Valley. He will discuss the state-of-the-art radiology at the hospital.

Dr. Shah has more than two decades of experience in radiology and has achieved the highest level of training and specialization in his field.

Dr. Shah graduated from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio, where he also completed his internship in surgery. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology and his fellowship in interventional radiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, N.Y. He is a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society, American College of Radiology and Society of Cardiovascular Imaging.
