Michelle Ruffo, DPT, Joins Mount Nittany Health Fit for Play

Last week, Mount Nittany Health announced the addition of Michelle Ruffo, DPT, to Mount Nittany Health Fit for Play.

Ruffo’s philosophy of care focuses on manual therapy as a key component. She says her hands are her greatest tools. “My motivation for becoming a physical therapist was building a career around helping people feel better,” says Ruffo. “I enjoy working with patients to get them to their optimal level of functioning.”
Ruffo earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Slippery Rock University. She is a certified orthopaedic clinical specialist with Level I and Level II certifications for selective functional movement assessment.
Outside of the office, Ruffo enjoys spending time with her husband, whom she met on the cross country team at Penn State; their young daughter; and the family dog. In addition to spending time with family and friends, running, swimming, biking and being outdoors are some of her favorite leisure activities.
