Graduate Nursing Program Offered Fully Online

Updated on September 16, 2013

Cedarville University announced a fully online Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) degree with a Global Health Ministries track launching this fall.

The online track prepares students to use nursing as a ministry domestically and around the world. With a rigorous core curriculum, the growing program integrates public health nursing and health ministry. Students gain advanced knowledge to address international health concerns.

The online program also provides flexibility and accessibility for students. “The global health track should have global access,” said Rachel Parrill, Ph.D., assistant professor of nursing and global health ministries coordinator. This track gives missionaries and busy professionals a convenient option to continue their education.

With the program completely online, faculty members and students will work together to connect through a variety of mediums. Students will be challenged through rigorous course work and individually tailored practicum experiences.

In addition, the track prepares students to meet spiritual needs in local and international communities. “The transforming power of the Holy Spirit through personal salvation will be viewed as the basis for community change,” said Parrill. “This program meets a specific need for those who want to use nursing for Christ both domestically and globally.”
