In celebration of its fifth anniversary, DreamLife Recovery, the Pennsylvania-based, clinician-owned facility that provides trauma-informed, comprehensive treatment for alcohol and drug addiction, has teamed up with local non-profit, Paws Across Pittsburgh, to host an animal adoption event. The event will be free to the public, held on Sunday, April 14 from 10-12 p.m. at DreamLife Recovery’s partial hospitalization facility at 107 Gamma Drive in Pittsburgh.
This partnership underscores both organizations’ dedication to keeping owners and pets united in times of need and change. DreamLife Recovery offers patients the unique opportunity to have their pets with them as they start their recovery journey. Both the partial hospitalization facility and the residential facility in Donegal are pet-friendly, as the therapeutic benefits of pets is part of DreamLife’s personalized care approach. Similarly, PAWS Across Pittsburgh also offers temporary housing and care for pets whose owners have to be away from home for an extended period of time, including medical reasons, or are experiencing financial hardship. The non-profit also works to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home homeless, abused and unwanted dogs and cats, and has helped thousands of animals find a new life in their forever homes.

In celebration of the occasion, Paws Across Pittsburgh will warmly welcome visitors to meet and greet a selection of their beloved foster dogs who are eagerly seeking forever homes. Guests are encouraged to spend quality time interacting with these adorable canines, offering belly rubs, ear scratches, and playful interactions. Each dog comes with its own unique personality and story, making it an ideal opportunity for potential adopters to find their perfect match. From gourmet treats to refreshing giveaways, there will be something to tantalize every palate, both human and pup, including the chance to win exciting prizes generously donated by local businesses, all joining in support of the cause.
