Global Online Coordinator, MSN and MSN-MBA Programs

California University of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce a new Master of Science in Nursing program in Nursing Education and is accepting candidates for a first cohort beginning in August. In addition, a new Post-Master’s Certificate in Nursing Education will be offered beginning January 2018.

The new programs will be offered 100% online as part of the University’s Global Online programs. The Global Online programs allow students to live and work anywhere while attending online classes and earning a degree.  Students progress through the program in a cohort model which allows them to build relationships with other students and share academic experiences all online. Nurses can continue to work full time as they take one course at a time and can therefore balance professional, personal and family commitments.

Dr. Pat Davies, developer of the new MSN in Nursing Education, states, “The demand for academically prepared nurse educators in both academic and healthcare organizational settings is critical. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (April, 2017) reports that faculty shortages at nursing schools across the United States are limiting student capacity in nursing education programs even as the need for skilled nurses continues to grow.”

The new MSN program is fully accredited through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The fully online RN to BSN program is also fully accredited by CCNE. Other program offerings include an MSN in Nursing Administration & Leadership (30 credits, and entering its 8th year); a new Post-Master’s Certificate in Nursing Administration & Leadership (21 credits); MSN-MBA (54 credits); and an MBA for graduates from Nursing Administration programs (24 credits).

As part of Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), California University of Pennsylvania offers affordable, low tuition education, and a Military Tuition Discount Program
