12th annual “Shake Your Booties” benefits The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center

Updated on March 21, 2013

The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center proudly announces that its 12th annual signature fundraising event, Shake Your Booties will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013, in the East Club at Heinz Field.

This year, The Children’s Home will be honoring Pittsburgh Steelers’ great Aaron Smith and his family. While Aaron is known as one of the NFL’s toughest defensive linemen, he remains committed to families in our region. He and his family are true role models in the Pittsburgh community through their advocacy for others, community service, commitment to families and support of those in need.

“We invite the entire Pittsburgh community to join together and celebrate with us the many stories of hope and inspiration that occur every day at The Children’s Home & Lemieux Family Center,” said Pamela Schanwald, CEO, The Children’s Home & Lemieux Family Center.

Event co-chairs Julie Kline and Ranny Ferguson invite guests to indulge in an evening of excitement, featuring gourmet food stations, live and silent auctions and an opportunity to win a one carat oval cut diamond, in our Fabulous Diamond Raffle, donated by The Gold Buyers of Pittsburgh. Throughout the evening, guests will also enjoy taking photographs in our photo booth, while being treated to live musical entertainment by In The Mood.

Shake Your Booties 2013, Platinum, Diamond, and Gold sponsors (as of March 21, 2013) include: Fifth Third Bank, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, E.J. Bognar, Inc., Mario Lemieux Foundation, PJ Dick & Trumbull, BAYADA Pediatrics, Comcast, Curtis Pharmaceutical Services, Inc., Federated Investors Foundation, Inc., Henry H. All proceeds raised from Shake Your Booties goes directly to support the programs of The Children’s Home & Lemieux Family Center: Adoption, Child’s Way, and the Pediatric Specialty Hospital.
