Tenth President Announced at News Conference

Cedarville University will announce the appointment of its 10th president at a news conference scheduled for Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in the Dixon Ministry Center. The news conference will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Center’s Jeremiah Chapel.

The news conference will include comments from Randy Patten, chair of the search committee; Lorne Scharnberg, chair of the Board of Trustees; and the new president. Following the announcement, Cedarville’s president will be available for one-on-one interviews with the media.

Media will be able to plug into the press box to secure direct sound from the stage, and a complete media kit will be provided at the news conference. TV cameras will be located in the center of the auditorium and reserved seating for media will be in the row immediate in front of the cameras.

Members of the media will be allowed to park their vehicles in the circle along the eastern edge of the Dixon Ministry Center for easy access to the Chapel.  A sign at the initial stop sign on campus will direct you to the location.

Lindsay Beals, assistant director of public relations, will be at the entrance to the auditorium that is closest to the media parking lot. If you have further questions about the news conference, please call Mark Weinstein.
