Mary Euler Named Associate Dean at the WVU School of Pharmacy

EulerMary Euler, Pharm.D., will join the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy as the associate dean for student  services.

In her position as associate dean, Dr. Euler will be responsible for the development and operation of all aspects of student life in the WVU School of Pharmacy.

Euler’s previous leadership positions in academics and administration include associate dean for academic affairs and McGee Chair for Doctoral Studies at the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy; associate dean at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Pharmacy; director of experiential programs at UMKC; and executive director of the Phi Lambda Sigma national student leadership honor society.

“My career in academia has provided me with a wealth of opportunities from experiential programs to academic affairs, but my true passion is working directly with students,” Euler said. “I find great joy and personal reward in helping students grow professionally. Student Services is the perfect fit for me, and I am thrilled to have this opportunity at the WVU School of Pharmacy.”

Euler replaces W. Clarke Ridgway, former assistant dean of student services in the WVU School of Pharmacy Office of Student Services. Ridgway retired in June after 31 years of service to the School and University.

“We are excited that Dr. Euler has joined the school as associate dean for student services,” Patricia Chase, Ph.D., Gates Wigner Dean of the WVU School of Pharmacy, said. “Her leadership and experience working with students will be beneficial in helping them navigate their way through the curriculum and shaping their lives on their paths to becoming future pharmacists.”
