Avocados: Another great food type that you should eat is avocados. A benefit of eating avocados is that they are high in healthy fats, which means that it could help make your skin moisturized and flexible. It has also been said that avocados have compounds that could protect your skin from sun damage. 

Sweet Potatoes: Adding sweet potatoes to your diet could help protect your skin from the sun. They contain beta-carotene, which is an antioxidant that can protect your skin cells from sun exposure. 

Avoid Direct Sun

Another way that you could maintain healthy skin is by avoiding direct sun. As you have briefly read above, direct sun exposure isn’t good for your skin. Too much exposure to the sun results in UV rays getting to your inner skin layers, which can kill and damage your skin cells. 

Make a conscious effort to wear a hat in the sun, look for shade when you’re outside, as well as use sunblock, whatever sunscreen that you use should have sun protection factor (SPF) 30 or higher. 

Develop a Healthy Routine 

A healthy routine is critical if you want to have good skin as you age. Consider medical skin care as it could help improve your skins rejuvenation process. Some aspects of a healthy skin routine are getting a good face wash and also using a toner to help prepare your pores for taking in your products. Reduce Alcohol Intake 

If you happen to drink on a regular basis, try and switch to social drinking if you can. This is because, when you drink too much, you can deprive your skin of vitamins and nutrients that it needs. Instead, try and stick with drinking liquids that are good for your skin like water or green juice with kale. This doesn’t mean that you have to stop drinking altogether, but moderation is key.
