Free Bootcamp to Help Veterans Start Businesses

War to Entrepreneur GraphicSaint Francis University’s Enactus team and Small Business Development Center (SBDC) are partnering with VetAdvisor® to offer a free five-session workshop to help veterans start their own businesses. The “From War to Entrepreneur” program will teach aspiring entrepreneurs the basics of business planning, marketing, and various aspects of the financial, legal, and accounting issues facing new businesses.

The hands-on “bootcamp” is open to anyone who served in the U.S. armed forces. Classes will be taught by Saint Francis faculty and business professionals, and will be held at the University’s Small Business Center in Loretto. The program begins on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 and sessions will be held biweekly from 5 to 8 p.m.

At the end of the program participants will receive a completion certificate along with continued help from Enactus and the Small Business Development Center to move business concepts to reality.
