10th annual event raises awareness for the American Lung Association

The American Lung Association in Pennsylvania will host its 10th Annual One Breath at a Time Gala, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday, October 25, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, One Bigelow Blvd., in Pittsburgh. Come celebrate with the Lung Association while wearing your favorite elegant hat. Ladies, think royal wedding. Men, think 1920s.

Guests enjoy an elegant cocktail party with a silent auction featuring unique items, gourmet dinner, and dancing to Joel Lindsey, accompanied by pianist Jerry Coleman. Please join with Mistress of Ceremonies, Ashlie Hardway from WTAE, as we honor two local residents: Dr. Geoffrey Kurland, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, will be honored with our Physician of Excellence Award and Samniang Happe will be honored with our Citizen of Excellence Award. We will also be recognizing all physicians nominated at our event with a certificate.

Sponsorships, ticket sales, auction sales, and donations are used to fund lung disease research, lung disease prevention programs and advocacy efforts.

Tickets are $150 per person. To attend, for sponsorship information, or for more general information, visit the event’s homepage or contact Marissa Mysliwiec at (412) 321-4029, or by email at [email protected].

Now in its second century, the American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. With your generous support, the American Lung Association is “Fighting for Air” through research, education and advocacy.
