Quick Med Claims Appoints Scott L. Powell as Chief Operating Officer

scottpowellQuick Med Claims (QMC) recently announced Scott L. Powell as the Chief Operating Officer for the company. Scott comes to QMC from UnitedHealth Group in Philadelphia where he most recently served as the Senior Director of Global Resources. In his previous role, Scott was responsible for oversight and direction of captive and vendor resources, both domestic and abroad for commercial and government contracts.

In his new position at QMC, Powell will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the organization. Mr. Powell will utilize his strengths to further develop and grow the organization.

Powell received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Duquesne University.

He has over 28 years of experience in the healthcare payor industry working at Prudential and United Healthcare.  He transitioned from IT to Operations where he led major efforts in automation and process standardization in Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial business. 

He has led in house and work at home organizations supporting  claim, enrollment, billing, customer service and vendor management/oversight both domestically and abroad. His background in the payor space and his experience with leadership development, process automation and standardization will help QMC continue to grow and provide the outstanding service our clients are accustomed to.
