Mount Nittany Health is pleased to announce the addition of Dinesh Bhaskaran, MD, FACS, to Mount Nittany Physician Group Thoracic & Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Bhaskaran obtained his medical degree from the University of Zambia Medical School in Lusaka, Zambia. He completed residencies in general surgery at Maimonides Medical Center and cardiothoracic surgery at State University of New York Health Science Center, and was selected as chief resident for both residencies.
In addition, Dr. Bhaskaran concluded an advanced cardiac surgery fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass. and an endovascular fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. Board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Bhaskaran is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American Medical Association, and the American College of Chest Physicians.
Previously attending in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery at Genesis HealthCare System in Zanesville, Ohio, Dr. Bhaskaran will diagnose and treat conditions of the veins, arteries and chest. For more information about
