Updated on July 1, 2013

Children’s Community Pediatrics (CCP) is expanding its pediatric network in Erie, Pa. Through a partnership with UPMC Hamot, CCP will manage the hospital’s two outpatient pediatric primary care practices, Your Pediatric Connection and Your Pediatric Connection West. The groups now will be known as CCP – Hamot Pediatrics and CCP – Hamot Pediatrics West.

CCP – Hamot Pediatrics, located at 300 State Street, is a three-pediatrician practice that cares for more 18,325 patients annually and CCP – Hamot Pediatrics West, located at 4022 Zuck Road, is a two-pediatrician practice that cares for more than 10,000 patients annually.

Both groups provide comprehensive medical care for infants, children, adolescents and young adults ages birth through 21 years and follow the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics for routine check-ups, immunizations, diagnostic screening and age-appropriate counseling. Both have a long-standing tradition of providing quality pediatric care to children from the greater Erie area.

“We are thrilled to be joining the CCP network and the medical staff of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC,” said Michael Webster, M.D., CCP – Hamot Pediatrics.

“We strongly believe in CCP’s care philosophy and are excited to have an entire network of specialists to consult with on a regular basis, said Maria S. Leonard, M.D., F.A.A.P., CCP – Hamot Pediatrics West.”

By joining CCP, CCP – Hamot Pediatrics and CCP – Hamot Pediatrics West are now part of the largest pediatric and adolescent care network in western Pennsylvania. With more than 120 board-certified pediatricians in more than 30 pediatric locations across Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Erie, Fayette, Indiana, Mercer, Washington and Westmoreland counties, CCP provides pediatric care to more than 170,000 patients annually.

“By partnering with Children’s Community Pediatrics and its team of high-quality providers, our physicians can access sophisticated resources, offer more advanced pediatric care, and better meet the health care needs of our patients,” UPMC Hamot President Jim Fiorenzo said. “This new partnership with CCP further supports UPMC’s commitment to provide superior-quality patient care and upholds its vision of growth and progress for Erie and northwestern Pennsylvania.”

“CCP is pleased to be expanding our network in Erie,” said Kathy Guatteri, president of CCP. “By partnering with CCP and through our relationship with Children’s Hospital, the UPMC Hamot pediatric groups now will be afforded continual access to the latest pediatric medical information and the most advanced technologies, which will enhance the health and well-being of the children and families they serve.”

CCP currently operates a third practice in Erie, CCP – Erie Pediatrics, located at 3580 Peach Street.

CCP – Hamot Pediatrics and CCP – Hamot Pediatrics West will continue to see patients at their current locations. Office hours will remain the same and new patients currently are being accepted.
